Banded Face Pull
The banded face pull is a shoulder-health and rear-delt staple. Pulling a band toward your face strengthens the muscles that keep your shoulders back and healthy, and it takes seconds to set up.
How to Perform
- Anchor the band at about face or chest height in front of you.
- Hold the band with both hands, arms extended, and step back for tension.
- Pull the band toward your face, spreading your hands apart and driving your elbows high and wide.
- Squeeze your rear delts and upper back at the end.
- Return under control without letting your shoulders roll forward.
Tips
- Lead with the elbows and keep them high, at about shoulder height.
- Use a lighter band and higher reps; this is about control.
- Finish each rep by squeezing the shoulder blades together.
