Core Nutritionals PRE

The Everyday Pre-Workout Built On The Fundamentals

Core PRE is the daily driver of the Core pre-workout lineup. It is not the highest-stim product Core makes and it is not trying to be. The goal here is a formula you can take five days a week without building a tolerance you regret, covering the things that actually matter before a training session: energy, pumps, endurance, hydration, and focus.

At 200mg of caffeine per serving, it sits in the range most lifters can use consistently. Compare that to Core's flagship FURY Black, which is built for people chasing maximum intensity, and the positioning is clear. PRE is the one you reach for on a normal Tuesday.

Core PRE Supplement Facts

Serving size is 1 scoop (18.2g), 30 servings per container. Every dose is disclosed on the label; there are no proprietary blends.

  • L-Citrulline, 6,000mg
  • Beta-Alanine, 3,200mg
  • L-Taurine, 2,000mg
  • L-Tyrosine, 1,000mg
  • Choline Bitartrate, 500mg (providing 200mg choline, 36% DV)
  • Caffeine Anhydrous, 200mg
  • Sodium (as sodium citrate), 200mg (9% DV)
  • Potassium (as potassium citrate), 200mg (4% DV)

Other ingredients: citric acid, silicon dioxide, natural flavors, sucralose, beet root powder for color.

What Each Ingredient Does

  • L-Citrulline at 6,000mg is the pump ingredient, and 6g is the dose the research actually uses rather than a token sprinkle. Citrulline converts to arginine, which the body uses to produce nitric oxide for vasodilation and blood flow. Supplementing citrulline raises circulating arginine more effectively than supplementing arginine directly, because oral arginine is largely broken down in the gut and liver before it reaches circulation.
  • Beta-Alanine at 3,200mg raises muscle carnosine over time, which increases the muscle's capacity to buffer hydrogen ions during hard sets. This is a build-it-up ingredient rather than an acute one, so it rewards taking it consistently instead of only on heavy days. The tingle is paresthesia and is separate from the actual mechanism.
  • L-Taurine at 2,000mg works as an osmolyte, helping cells regulate fluid balance and cell volume, and is involved in calcium handling inside muscle cells. It pairs directly with the sodium and potassium in the formula.
  • L-Tyrosine at 1,000mg is the precursor the body uses to make dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine. Research support is strongest for maintaining cognitive performance under stress rather than for raw physical output, which is exactly the use case for a demanding training session.
  • Choline Bitartrate at 500mg supplies 200mg of actual choline, 36% of the daily value. The body uses choline to make acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter that carries the signal from motor neuron to muscle fiber at the neuromuscular junction, and which is also involved in attention and focus.
  • Caffeine Anhydrous at 200mg blocks adenosine receptors, reducing perceived fatigue and perceived effort. The ISSN position stand on caffeine supports its effects across endurance, muscular endurance, vigilance, and reaction time.
  • Sodium and potassium citrate, 200mg each. Both are lost through sweat and both are involved in fluid balance, nerve signaling, and muscle contraction.

Why 200mg Of Caffeine Instead Of More

More stimulant is not automatically better. Past a certain point you get jitters, a crash, and a tolerance curve that forces you to keep escalating. Core built PRE around a dose that stays useful over months of daily training, then covered focus through L-Tyrosine and choline rather than piling on more caffeine. If you want the higher-intensity experience, that is what FURY Black exists for.

Who Core PRE Is For

  • Lifters training four or more days a week who want something sustainable rather than a once-a-week sledgehammer.
  • Anyone new to pre-workout who does not want to start at 350mg of caffeine.
  • People who want a clinically meaningful 6g of citrulline and 3.2g of beta-alanine without paying a premium-tier price.
  • Anyone who has cycled off a heavy-stim pre and is looking for a reset.

How To Take It

Mix one scoop with 8 to 12 oz of water and drink it 20 to 30 minutes before training. Start with a half scoop if you are caffeine-sensitive or new to pre-workout. Keep drinking water through the session. Do not stack it with other stimulant products, and account for the caffeine you are already getting from coffee or energy drinks.
